Apple will finally update the iPad and confirms presentation on May 7
Apple has announced its first special event in 2024. The call was called ‘Release’ and everything points to the fact that the main character will be the iPad family. The company has not updated the line pills from 2022.
What to expect from Apple’s May event?
The iPad Pro with OLED display and M3 processor is considered one of the main announcements. The M3 is the brains of the latest generation MacBook. The new version of the premium line will be complemented by two new iPad Air sizes: 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Both with M2 processor. For the first time, Cupertino residents chose two versions of the model. The 12.9-inch iPad Air will feature mini-LED technology, just like the current generation iPad Pro.
The iPad Air’s front camera will change location. It will be located on the longest sides of the device, ideally centered when the iPad is used horizontally. It is currently located at the top of the screen when the device is used vertically.
The iPhone parent company is expected to announce updates to the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories to give iPad Pro users a laptop-like experience. The new generation of electronic pencils will have magnetic tips and will be integrated into Apple’s Find My feature.

Apple wants to revive interest in its iPads
The electronic tablet sector has been hit by inflation and changes in market consumption. Apple recorded a 25% drop in sales of its electronic tablets in the first quarter of the year. Marketing for these devices reached $7,020 million.
That figure represents just 5.9% of the organization’s total net sales, which are valued at $119.58 billion as of Dec. 30. Apple plans to hold its Worldwide Developers Conference from June 10 to 14, where analysts expect the company to unveil significant advances related to artificial intelligence systems and functions.
