Arby’s opens its eighth restaurant in Hatillo

With a investment of $2.8 millionthe Arby’s sandwich franchise opened its eighth restaurant on the island, which is on highway number 2 in Hatillo.

The new facility is 2,600 square feet, accommodates up to 45 diners in the room and generates 60 direct jobs. It is in an independent building (“free standing”) and has a self-service window. It belongs to the franchisees William and Damaris Carill.

“With the opening of our eighth Arby’s restaurant, we validate our commitment to continued and consistent expansion. We set the opening of an eighth store as our goal for the expansion scheduled for 2023 and that is how we have complied,” he said. Carlos Budet, President of Fransglobala company that owns the rights to develop the franchise in Puerto Rico.

The chain, which is famous for its roast beef sandwiches, plans to open another five restaurants this year. Budet indicated to The new day that one of them will be in The Outlets at Montehiedra and estimates that the mall will deliver the plot of land to him in a month. Construction will take another six months.

While, in Bayamón two more Arby’s will go. One will be on Highway 167 near the Family Court, and the other will go on Highway 2, where the Drive-In used to be. and now there is a Pep Boys nearby.

The two others will be in Guayama and Manatee. All five will have a self-service window and all will be independent buildings, with the exception of the one in Manatí.

Arby’s menu includes 22 sandwiches with eight different proteins, wraps, shakes and sides. It also has a Creole breakfast menu with 12 exclusive recipes from Puerto Rico. The new Hatillo location offers a delivery and carryout service.

Founded in 1964is the first nationally franchised sandwich restaurant brand in the United States, with more than 3,500 restaurants around the world. Of those 3,500, it has more than 150 in seven countries outside the US.

In Puerto Rico, it has restaurants in Plaza Cayey, San Patricio Village in Guaynabo, Plaza Las Américas, Plaza Del Caribe, Santa Isabel, Plaza Escorial in Carolina and in Río Bayamón.
