Bar Mostaza is reopening in Zaragoza, famous for its gourmet sandwiches.
Zaragoza is preparing for the return of one of the most popular dining destinations of the last three decades. In mid-March last year, the popular sandwich shop Mostaza on Dato Street closed its doors indefinitely. Since its opening in 1991, with Angel Garcia as founder and manager until 2016, Mostaza became an instant success thanks to the quality of its products and its very convenient location during the golden years of nightlife in the Dr. Cerrada area. After his retirement in 2016, Garcia handed over the business.
With the closure of the business in March last year, a series of unknowns loomed over Mostaza’s future as the succession of the previous managers who had run the business for the past seven years was ruled out. The wait appears to be over as new managers prepare for an imminent opening. this could happen this weekend, May 18th and 19th.

As the song Más Birras says, an idea is a return to the essence, a return. The new administration proposes to return the traditional Mostaza, using Garcia’s quality standards as a basis. “The highest quality sandwiches will continue to be available and customer service will continue to be a top priority.” They note, in addition to clarifying that a high percentage of the hired staff will return to their positions, “which guarantees continuity in the method of work that has made Mostaza a successful business.”
During these two months of break, conditions were improved, but the interior appearance of the premises did not change much. The walls and floors have been renovated.. The new managers’ intention is to win back the long-standing loyal clientele who have been waiting in recent weeks for images of the shutters being raised again at 8 Dato Street.
