Belkin Announces One of the Coolest iPhone Accessories I’ve Ever Seen
Belkin announced a new stand at the exhibition CES 2024 who will take advantage of the video capabilities of your iPhone to the next level.
The Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro is the first accessory to use Apple’s DockKit. This means it uses iPhone sensing technology to move your iPhone, keeping you in the frame through a huge range of motion. This amazing new accessory means you can move freely while in front of the camera, whether you’re shooting the latest fashion trends. TIK Tak or just talking on a video call.
The auto-tracking feature is the headline here and an absolute reason to stand up and take notice. Belkin’s booth was the first to feature Apple’s DockKit, a revolutionary technology that takes the iPhone’s ability to identify and track objects in a camera frame and translates it into real-world motion.
Simply put, the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro communicates with your iPhone and jointly tracks you or someone else through the physical rotation of the stand. The Pro Stand has a wide range of motion, swiveling around the stand 360 degrees and tilting up and down 90 degrees. It’s well positioned and has a wide enough range of motion to accommodate a series of videos.
Your iPhone connects to Stand Pro via MagSafe, which gives a strong and reliable union. But that’s not the only benefit of MagSafe connectivity. You can also use the Stand Pro as a wireless charger, with up to 15W fast wireless charging when connected to the included 30W charger and a five-foot USB-C charging cable. Need to shoot away from the charger? No problem: Stand Pro also has a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts up to five hours of use.
Not a creator? It’s still worth considering. The Auto-Tracking Stand Pro works with the iPhone camera, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and other messaging and social media platforms, making it ideal for avid video callers, as well as those who want to create content for Instagram, TikTok, or Canva.
The Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro costs $180 on the Belkin website and will be available soon at select retailers worldwide.
