Bella Thorne opens up about ‘important’ discussions about pansexuality

But Bella Thorne has also used her social network of 43 million followers, as well as her books and music, to be open about her sexuality after coming out as pansexual in 2019.
Bella says other stars, including the likes of Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus and most recently Demi Lovato, have openly discussed their pansexuality. Yahoo Lifestyle It’s “inspiring” to see more people gaining the confidence to speak out.
“I think it’s very touching and inspiring,” Bella tells us.
“This means people are becoming more confident and taking steps to not let social norms dictate and define their freedom of expression and sexuality.
“It helps create a more welcoming and proud community, and I love seeing that.”
The actress, model and director initially came out as bisexual on Twitter in 2016 before realizing her sexuality didn’t fit the label.
She revealed her pansexuality in an interview with the publication Good morning America in 2019.
“I’m actually pansexual and I didn’t know it. Someone explained to me in great detail what that is,” she said at the time, explaining that it means prioritizing someone’s personality over their body.
“You like creatures,” she said. “You like what you like. It doesn’t have to be a girl, or a guy, or he, or she, or they, or this or that. You literally like the personality. You just like the creature.”
Bella has since said that being able to openly discuss sexuality is “essential.”
“This is extremely important… because being gay, straight, bisexual or pan is not something a person can choose or change. It’s part of someone’s nature,” says the 23-year-old. Yahoo Lifestyle.

Bella says she used the downtime during the pandemic to really hone her skills, develop herself, and connect with her music.
“At first I think we were all stumped because we didn’t know what was going to happen or when things were going to go back to normal,” she explains.
“I was so tired of sitting on the couch sweating and doing nothing that it lit a fire inside me. The pandemic simply gave me more time to hone my skills and envision the future. This inspired me to show the world what “I felt” through my music.
She also said it gave her time to “connect with her deeper self.”
“It continues to evolve and I can express that in my new songs,” she adds. “It lit a fire in me to always be myself. I have so much work right now that I’ve put my blood, sweat and tears into that I can’t wait for my fans to hear.”
One of her 2020 projects included creating Only Fans account where she was able to break the record and earn a whopping $1 million ($A1.4 million) in just 24 hours.
Bella did face her fair share of online backlash from other content creators, but the star said she joined the site for “research” and to get around other platforms’ strict policies.
