Blue Ivy Carter has been drawing attention on Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, regularly taking the stage in custom looks that complement her mom’s. Yesterday, Beyoncé posted photos from her July 29 concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey. We were left to get a closer look at Blu and Bey’s other coordinated ensemble: matching shiny “IV” tees and over-the-knee boots.
Significantly, Blue is only 11 years old. In addition to choreographing brilliantly on stage during her mom’s world tour, she’s already a Grammy winner. (It’s from when I was 9.)
However, Blue is a natural artist, as noted by her grandmother and Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles in a tribute to Blue on her 10th birthday. Tina wrote at the time:
The day you were born was one of the best days of my life. I was really praying and pressuring your mother to come to you on 4th January, which is my birthday. I wanted us to share a birthday, but like your Auntie Solo, you decided to come when you were good and ready, and that was on January 7th, three days after my birthday. Knowing you and your personality now, I realize you needed your day because you were a queen, and you are so special! You can sing, dance, play basketball, play volleyball, paint, draw, sculpt, sew, write poetry, write songs Can create, act, play the piano! I could go on and on. Because there really is nothing you can’t do. You are funny, beautiful, funny, kind and very intelligent. I couldn’t have asked for a better granddaughter, Mrs. Blue Ivy Carter!
