BTS’s Jungkook is achieving unprecedented success on the US charts!
Last week, Jungkook broke two of PSY’s records on Billboard’s Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States. When his new solo title track “Standing Next to You” debuted at number 5, Jungkook became the Korean solo artist with the most Hot 100 entries (six so far) and the most top 10 hits. First (three so far).
To add to those accomplishments, Jungkook has now become the first K-pop solo artist to have four songs chart simultaneously on the Hot 100 for multiple weeks. For the week ending November 25, “Standing Next to You” remained strong at number 50, while Jungkook’s collaboration with Kid Laroi and Central C, “Too Much”, climbed back to number 66, “3D” (Jack Harlow “) came to #84 and “Seven” (with Latto) came to #91.
Jungkook is also now the first K-pop solo artist in history to spend multiple weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. After debuting at No. 2 last week, Jungkook’s debut solo album, “Golden”, remains on the list. Number 6. This week.
Meanwhile, “Standing Next to You” spent its second consecutive week at number 1 on both the Digital Song Sales chart and the Global Excel chart. US Billboard, where Jungkook charted three songs in the top 10 and 11 songs overall. In addition to “Standing Next to You”, “Seven” made it to the Global Exclusive. US #3, “3D” at #10, “Yes or No” at #43, “Hate You” at #89, “Please Don’t Change” (with DJ Snake) at #101, “Too Much” at # 125, “Closer to You” (featuring Major Lazer) at #136, “Too Sad to Dance” at #145, “Somebody” at #155, and “Shot Glass of Tears” at #160.
Jungkook also debuted seven songs on Billboard’s Global 200 this week: “Standing Next to You” at #2, “Seven” at #6, “3D” at #18, “Yes or No” at #78, #104 “Too Much”, “Hate You” at #156, and “Please Don’t Change” at #175.
Additionally, “Golden” reached number 4 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart (after debuting at number 1 on both charts the previous week).
Ultimately, Jungkook ranked 7th on this week’s Artist 100, making him the first K-pop solo artist to spend 14 weeks on the chart.
