Los Angeles, November 20 (IANS): Singer Camila Cabello describes her fashion and beauty mistakes as her “Adam Sandler moments”.
The 26-year-old star has been under scrutiny since becoming a member of Fifth Harmony on ‘The X Factor USA’ in 2012 and admits she has made several public fashion mistakes.
Cabello has learned to accept them, comparing her embarrassing fashion mistakes to the comic actor’s box office bombs, though those errors of judgment will always remain online.
Speaking to ‘Cosmopolitan’, she said, “I have so many and they’re all excruciatingly documented. When I didn’t care, I said, ‘Guys, I just need to be a person. I can’t pretend. I’m going to act like I’m not in the public eye,’ but there are a lot of pictures around. But you know what? It’s kind of funny; it’s like my Adam Sandler moments.”
Cabello says those awkward style moments over the years have served as an education, and her passion for fashion has never waned.
She said, “Creative expression. Earlier, I didn’t just think about beauty, it wasn’t really an area I played with in my life. Now, what I wear or play with different makeup looks is very It’s fun.”
“It’s like you’re doing something. I feel like I missed out on all that when I was younger because I didn’t have anyone around me who was big into fashion or beauty, like my mom was really No one wears makeup. So that was really fun to be involved in.”
Cabello had always been reluctant to change her trademark brunette hair, but after taking the step and dying her hair she now wants to continue experimenting with new cuts.
She explained, “I think the first time I dyed my hair was probably a year and a half ago, and it’s like a disease. I’m like, do I want to cut it? I would love to be blonde but what? ” Does it damage my hair?”
“My hair changes depending on how I feel or what persona or personality traits I want to embody. When I dyed my hair black, I was just ready for a little demonic energy, but first, It was the color of honey, so it was very lovely.”
