‘Cata’ Domínguez, Cruz Azul player, celebrated his son’s birthday with a drug-themed party
The Cruz Azul player, Julio César “Cata” Domínguez, is in the eye of the hurricane due to a controversial drug-themed birthday party, which he organized for his son Matías.
On social networks, the player showed some images where his son was seen dressed as a hitman, carrying a weapon and wearing a cap with the legend “chapiza”.
The rest of those present were also dressed in clothing alluding to drug trafficking.
In some of the images, shared by the soccer player, children are seen with weapons and simulating attacks against each other, some, in addition to their clothing alluding to organized crime, wore the Cruz Azul uniform.
Sorry
After the controversy, the footballer published an apology on social networks and lowered the images.
“I recognize that these do not contribute to creating a better impression of Mexico and that neither I nor my family promote or justify any type of violence. We are people who promote sport in the new generations, in addition to the values and principles of an exemplary institution such as Cruz Azul”, wrote the “Cata”.
The theme party for the son of “Cata” occurs just a few days after the recapture of Ovidio Guzmán López, one of the leaders of the Sinaloa cartel, and which caused a day of terror for more than 20 hours in Culiacán. The balance of the operation was 25 dead, 35 wounded and 21 detainees.
On social networks they questioned the celebration of the minor due to the violence that the country is experiencing at the hands of organized crime.
Ovidio Guzmán is the son of Joaquín “el Chapo” Guzmán, who is imprisoned in New York after being found guilty of 10 crimes, including drug trafficking.
