The Cuban squad that will represent in the 5th World Baseball Classic to be held next March continues to reveal the details of its preparation stage. The Cuban Baseball Federation has announced on Saturday the group of coaches that will support the leadership of the team in training for the event.

The list of names includes stellar former players and coaches of Cuban baseball. The advice of these coaches will be directed towards the different areas of the game, since they include specialists in pitching, offense, defense, tactical aspects and physical preparation.

The Commission’s statement on its Twitter profile states the following: «Rolando Verde, Alexander Ramos, Frank Camilo Morejón, Juan Manrique, Andrés García, José Manuel Cortina, Alexander Urquiola and Diodel Reyes will support the work of the designated technical group in the preparation for the World Baseball Classic.

In previous dates, the team’s preparation schedule was announced, which will include stops with squads and training stays in various stages. It was also made known during the past week that the preparation of Cuba will begin this Monday, January 16, with the available shortlisted and later those that are missing will be incorporated.
