Damar Hamlin shares photo from the hospital

(CNN) — Before the game between the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots, Bills safety Damar Hamlin tweeted a photo of himself watching the game from his hospital bed at Cincinnati’s UC Medical Center.

The image comes after Hamlin collapsed Monday from cardiac arrest in the Bills’ NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The player had to be revived on the field and then taken to hospital, where he has been recovering ever since.

Following an emotional ceremony for Hamlin before the game against the Patriots, the Bills’ Nyheim Hines received the kickoff and returned it for a 96-yard touchdown run.

Hamlin, watching from the hospital, tweeted: “OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Oh my God!).”

According to the CBS broadcast, the kickoff return for a touchdown was the first for the team in 18 years.
