Doja Cat will host the first-ever VR concert as part of her Scarlet Arena tour in partnership with Meta

Doja Cat has announced that she will be hosting her first VR concert in partnership with Meta.

The 28-year-old female hitmaker, who nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction at Friday’s premiere, released a teaser video for Doja Cat: The Scarlet Tour In VR on Tuesday, offering a tantalizing look at her latest project.

It was filmed during her Scarlet Tour in Detroit, which took place at Little Caesars Arena on December 10, 2023.

According to the announcement, the film will be “a thrilling spectacle that blends reality and imagination, enhanced by cutting-edge visual effects and beats.”

In a press release, Doja, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, commented: “Bringing The Scarlet Tour to life has been an amazing experience. Bringing the idea to life and sharing it with fans in arenas was surreal and rewarding.

“Now being able to share a live performance through VR with Meta and The Diamond Bros for Doja Cat: The Scarlet Tour In VR is the perfect way for fans who weren’t able to make it to the show to feel like they did. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created.”

Premiering in VR on Saturday, January 20th at 5:00 pm PT exclusively at Music Valley Meta Horizon Worlds.

Those unable to attend at this time will have other options when replays are available in Meta Horizon Worlds.

Doja concluded the North American leg of The Scarlet Tour in Chicago on December 13.

She will complete the remainder of the tour on June 11 with a stop in Glasgow, Scotland, before wrapping up in Liege, Belgium on July 12.

It comes just days after she nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction when she wore a head-turning ensemble to the premiere of The Book of Clarence in Los Angeles on Friday.

The Say So hitmaker, who recently showed off her breasts in a series of Instagram snaps, joined other celebrities at the event such as Teyana Taylor and Kelly Rowland.

The singer donned a black halter-style bodysuit with large cutouts and a plunging neckline that added a sultry glow to the look.

She slipped on a pair of black heeled boots and completed the outfit with a long leather coat that fell to her elbows.

The star, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, easily carried a black handbag on her right hand, which contained all the things she needed during the carefree holidays.

She accessorized her ensemble with a pair of sparkling silver earrings, as well as a necklace with a large crucifix on the front.

The Streets singer also wore a gold snake necklace and added a set of statement rings on each hand, along with a pair of rectangular glasses.

Her nighttime makeup was intense and consisted of thick black eyeliner and light shimmery shadow around the eyes.

Warm blush and contour were added to better highlight her cheekbones, and a glossy nude shade was applied to the lips, edged with darker lip liner.

Doja Cat struck a few poses to better show off her hot image as she arrived at the special premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and crossed paths with one of the cast members, RJ Cyler.

Last year, in August 2023, the singer spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her personal style.

“When it comes to fashion, I’m in a bit of a chaotic place right now: I just go into my closet and pick the most random, weird, inappropriate thing to mix with another thing that doesn’t suit me.” really fits,” she expressed.

“It’s like mashed potatoes. But I accept it. It’s a little punk. It’s definitely experimental. It’s very manic.

“But I go in a darker direction when it comes to visuals and fashion. I have a lot of pent up feelings and anger and I want to express it through beauty. I’ve been playing with prosthetics a lot lately.”

The Book of Clarence is an upcoming biblical comedy-drama written and directed by James Samuel, also known by his stage name The Bullitts.

Samuel was also one of the producers on the project, as were rappers Jay-Z, James Lassiter and Tendo Nagenda.

The film’s cast includes LaKeith Stanfield, James McAvoy, Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Teyana Taylor and Benedict Cumberbatch.

According to the IMDB synopsis, “Striving to find a better life, Clarence is captivated by the power of the rising Messiah and soon risks everything to pave the way to a divine existence.”

The Book of Clarence made its world premiere during the 67th BFI London Film Festival in October 2023 and is due to hit cinemas later this month on January 12th.

Doja Cat has been enjoying some downtime since finishing the first leg of her Scarlet Tour last December.

Her tour officially kicked off last October on Halloween night in San Francisco and is in support of her fourth studio album, Scarlet.

She is scheduled to begin her international journey later this year in June and July, making stops in countries such as England, Scotland, Italy, Sweden, as well as Portugal.

Doja Cat also gave her fans and followers close-ups of the ensembles she wore on stage, and recently took to her main Instagram page to share sultry photos showing off the ensemble.

She struck a variety of poses in a sheer black dress with a large scoop neckline at the front.

The Kiss Me More singer wore a pair of white furry boots and also added a black coat with white trim in another look.
