Dr. Norberto Marrero, new head of medical services at CD Tenerife | CD Tenerife

Norberto Marrero Gordillo, Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of La Laguna, joins the core team of CD Tenerife. Before his arrival in the Tenerife first team, the physical education and sports medicine specialist carried out his work for four seasons as head of medical services for the lower categories of the blue and white education in Ciudad Deportiva.

Dr. Marrero Gordillo is a specialist in sports biomechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, worked at the University of Barcelona, ​​the Center for High Performance of Sant Cugat del Valles and Locomotion Research Center Pennsylvania. A professor at the University of La Laguna, he has been a member of the Spanish Federation of Sports Medicine since 1991 and for five seasons headed the medical service of the Tenerife basketball club.

With numerous publications in national and international scientific journals and presentations at medical conferences, as well as the writing of several doctoral dissertations, the new head of the medical direction of CD Tenerife “is enthusiastic and willing to accept a challenge as important and stimulating as the task of becoming the head of the medical direction of the team of this categories”.
