Eight killed in shooting in Yaffa, south of Tel Aviv

At least eight people have been killed and several injured in a shooting this Tuesday in the Yaffa neighborhood, near a tram station, south of Tel Aviv, Israel, according to Israeli police, who described it as a possible “terrorist attack.” The terminology has been used for attacks carried out by Palestinians. According to police, both attackers have been “neutralized”, and a large number of security forces have been deployed at the scene to look for “additional threats”.

Magen David Adom, the Israeli emergency service, reported that multiple medical teams were treating “multiple victims in various conditions” at the shooting site.

The attack came moments before Iran raised alarm across the country over the beginning of a missile attack on Israel, which follows massive Israeli bombings against Tehran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon in recent years. After which the ground attack took place this Tuesday.
