Elizabeth Olsen’s surprise return to the MCU after her disturbing statements sends Marvel fans into a frenzy
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement when Elizabeth Olsen finally returned to the MCU. After his apparent death in Doctor Strange 2Olsen returned to her iconic role in the latest What if…? Season 2 episode. Previously, a series of troubling remarks cast doubt on her ability to return to the canonical MCU, but it looks like the animated series has made it possible.
Elizabeth Olsen made her debut as Scarlet Witch in the film’s post-credits scene. Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Later, she gradually developed in the universe, becoming one of the most powerful and beloved characters by fans. However, Phase 5 of the MCU took Wanda’s character in a different direction and turned her into one of the most interesting villains.
Wanda Maximoff’s villainous arc also ended with her redemption at Wundagore Mountain in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness. Since then, the actress has not clearly stated whether she will return to the MCU. But the MCU’s Disney+ animated show made it possible by introducing us to a new iteration of the character.

How did Elizabeth Olsen return to her role in the MCU?
In the last issue What if…?, we were presented with a reality where Steve Rogers wore the Hydra Stomper suit and a continuation of the first episode of the first season. However, Captain Carter was forced to turn against him after Rogers’ armor was damaged by the Soviet Red Room. A brutal fight was shown between Peggy and Natasha against the Black Widows from the Red Room. However, what followed next was stranger than ever.
After Steve Rogers sacrifices himself to destroy the Red Room’s ship, something very strange happens when Peggy Carter plans to go looking for him. Even the Observer was not prepared to see Peggy Carter being transported to another dimension through the red cracks that appeared on the floor. MCU fans won’t have a hard time figuring out who might be responsible for the magical red things.
In the next scene, we see Captain Carter in an alternate reality, where we are surprised to see versions of Nick Fury and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. From their outfits one could tell that they were from the Elizabethan era. It has already been announced that this season will feature an Avengers 1602 story inspired by Neil Gaiman’s comics.
The ending of the fifth episode was decisive for the eighth episode. “What if… The Avengers assembled in 1602?” The 1602 episode also introduces us to other Elizabethan variations of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. But most of all, viewers were intrigued by the return of Elizabeth Olsen. They took the internet by storm to express their joy and excitement.

Elizabeth Olsen is back with a bang!
The MCU has put a lot of focus on Wanda Maximoff’s character in Phase 5 in projects such as WandaVision And Doctor Strange 2. After Benedict Cumberbatch’s film, we have yet to learn the character’s whereabouts. Although her character died on Wundagore Mountain, die-hard comic book fans never believed it.

It will be interesting to see how this alternate Wanda character fares in the second season of the Disney+ series. However, fans would be more excited to see if Scarlet Witch returns to the canon universe. Many fans also believe that the character may appear in the upcoming film. Agatha row.
