Later, she gradually developed in the universe, becoming one of the most powerful and beloved characters by fans. In the last issue What if…?, we were presented with a reality where Steve Rogers wore the Hydra Stomper suit and a continuation of the first episode of the first season. However, Captain Carter was forced to turn against him after Rogers’ armor was damaged by the Soviet Red Room. A brutal fight was shown between Peggy and Natasha against the Black Widows from the Red Room. However, what followed next was stranger than ever.

After Steve Rogers sacrifices himself to destroy the Red Room’s ship, something very strange happens when Peggy Carter plans to go looking for him. Even the Observer was not prepared to see Peggy Carter being transported to another dimension through the red cracks that appeared on the floor. MCU fans won’t have a hard time figuring out who might be responsible for the magical red things.

In the next scene, we see Captain Carter in an alternate reality, where we are surprised to see versions of Nick Fury and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. From their outfits one could tell that they were from the Elizabethan era. It has already been announced that this season will feature an Avengers 1602 story inspired by Neil Gaiman’s comics.

The ending of the fifth episode was decisive for the eighth episode. “What if… The Avengers assembled in 1602?” The 1602 episode also introduces us to other Elizabethan variations of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The MCU has put a lot of focus on Wanda Maximoff’s character in Phase 5 in projects such as WandaVision And Doctor Strange 2.
