Demi Lovato rings in 2024 with reflections on a year of love and music
As the new year dawned, 31-year-old pop star Demi Lovato took to Instagram to reflect on her journey over the past year. The singer, who identifies with she/they pronouns, shared a collage of memories from 2023 set to the track What a Year. A montage of images and videos captured Lovato’s year of personal triumphs and career milestones, including moments of fun, love and self-discovery.
One of the highlights of Lovato’s 2023 was her engagement to 32-year-old musician Jordan “Yuts” Lutz. The proposal, made on December 16, 2023, was celebrated in a big way at Craig’s, a popular destination for celebrities in Los Angeles. The celebration was intimate, attended by the couple’s close circle of family and friends. Lovato’s Instagram roundup also captured their first Christmas together, making the 2023 holiday season extra special.
The previous Christmas, Jutes was in Ottawa spending the holiday season with his family. This made their celebration together in 2023 even more meaningful as the additional presence of Juts’ mother marked a new chapter in their lives. The Instagram video features snippets of their Christmas celebrations, further highlighting the joy and love that characterized their relationship over the past year.
In addition to personal milestones, 2023 was also a year of professional achievements for Lovato. They released “A Very Demi Holiday Special” on the Roku Channel, which featured celebrity guests from famous friends like JoJo, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, Paris Hilton, Trixie Mattel and Tiffany Haddish.
