Unfortunately, the biggest rising star Marvel has had in a while is in trouble and fans are suggesting that Jonathan Majors be replaced by a Star Wars star.
Majors had quickly gained popularity after being revealed as the new villain of the MCU’s Phase Five, Kang the Conqueror. The character was introduced at the end of Loki season 1 and played a major role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) as more of his backstory and the power of him was revealed. Several upcoming MCU projects were slated to include Kang and, by proxy, Majors, which has led fans to wonder what Marvel will be up to.
It was recently revealed that Majors has officially parted ways with his management agency and PR team and Disney is likely to follow suit. The situation recalls the accusations of Johnny Depp and the trial with his ex, Amber Heard.
Fans turned against him, Disney left him out of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and his reputation is still in shambles, even after he won his libel suit and revealed he was apparently a victim of domestic violence.
With this standard previously set by Disney, it doesn’t look good for Majors. With this in mind, fans are already offering suggestions as to who should take up Kang’s mantle. Star Wars actor John Boyega. Boyega caused a stir when he revealed that he thought his character, Finn, had been left out for the last two films of the sequel trilogy, claiming that he had only been cast for a “diverse cast.” He had also revealed that he had been receiving tons of hate from “toxic Star Wars fans” and had been waiting to tell them off.
