FC Barcelona | Szczesny: “If Ter Seguin gets injured in two weeks, I won’t get off the couch”
After a couple of days in Barcelona, Wojciech Szczesny was able to sign his new contract with FC Barcelona yesterday, Wednesday. The Polish goalkeeper is rejecting the premature retirement he decided to take at the end of last season and is plunging into this new adventure at Barça. His goal, logically, is to take the starting position after Marc-Andre Ter Stegen suffered a serious knee injury.

Citing context, he comments that “if Ter Stegen’s injury had happened two weeks later, he would not have gone to Barcelona because it would have been too late and I wouldn’t get off the couchA powerful statement, albeit with a certain logic, since the player is already in Marbella in the middle of a “golden retirement” with his family (a six-year-old son and another three-month-old newborn).
