The Spanish Food Safety Agency has reported the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in two pork products from the Aldi and Bonpreu brands, respectively.

In the case of Aldi, these are boiled hands in vacuum packaging, namely batch 249 with an expiration date of November 14 and a package weight of 700 grams. On the other hand, semi-finished pork feet with lot number 136, EAN code 8422410416967, expiration date November 1, 2024, vacuum packed and weighing 700 grams.

Although Aesan indicates that the products are only sold in Catalonia and Aragon, it does not rule out that they could have reached other communities and therefore recommends extreme caution and not consuming these products under any circumstances.

If you have already consumed any products from the affected lots and have developed symptoms consistent with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea or fever), the subjects advised contacting a health center. Additionally, for pregnant women, they suggested reviewing the agency’s own consumption guidelines during pregnancy regarding food hygiene practices and a list of foods to avoid.
