The DFernando Hierro’s decision to place a strategist who knew little about the Liga MX environment caused skepticism in many fans and analysts, so after the exhibition from Guadalajara in his presentation at the Clausura 2023 against Rayados has unleashed criticism against the European coach by Juan Francisco Palencia.
“The best thing about Chivas was the result. I would not leave happy in any way if I were the coach, because the team lost a lot of easy balls, they were very badly positioned all the time. Monterrey with very little high pressure, made Chivas lose the ball very quickly.
“If your only player is the one who kicks twice at goal, it means that your system is not working, because it was the only one that generated a goal play and it was inspired by the player, it was not by a system. It has nothing to do with whether or not you know the Mx League, it is a style of play that you must implement (…) I really did not see a different face from Chivas, in fact, I liked him better with Cadena than now”, declared Palencia on Fox Sports.
