Forza Horizon 4 will be removed from digital stores on December 15

Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 4 will be removed from digital storefronts later this year due to the expiration of its licensing agreements.

The popular Microsoft-exclusive open-world racing game will no longer be available on the Microsoft Store and Steam starting December 15.

In addition, all DLC for the game has already been removed from sale on these digital distribution platforms, and for the next few months only the Standard, Deluxe and Definitive Editions of Forza Horizon 4 will be available on them.

This only affects new sales anyway. If you already have the game in your library or already own the DLC, you will be able to continue accessing all content even after the game is removed from the Xbox Store and Steam on December 15, 2024.

Users who played Forza Horizon 4 through Xbox Game Pass and purchased its DLC will receive a token to play through the Xbox Message Center. These codes will be sent out in the next few days.

Playground also announced that Series 77, which begins on July 25 and ends on August 22, will be the last in the game and that only daily and weekly challenges will be available after that. This is important because there are five achievements that are dependent on playlists and therefore will no longer be obtainable.
