Free-to-play shooter Histera reveals its tools in new gameplay videos

StickyLock continues to prepare fickle battlefields in the upcoming arena shooter IsteraThe developer has released new videos showing off the tools you can use to gain an advantage over your enemies in the heat of battle.

When you’re trying to survive in Istera, where Glitch can change the playing field in the heat of battle. You’ll recognize the signs of an approaching glitch as the air around you pulses across the battlefield.

Your environment will begin to destabilize, and you will have to reconsider your position and that of the enemy: the cover behind which your target is hiding may fall, giving you the perfect opportunity to destroy him. However, there is no time to linger and you will only have a few moments to change your strategy: will you move forward or retreat?

You’ll find yourself on a prehistoric Pliocene plateau, in the war-torn Novgorod of the mid-20th century, or in the futuristic city of Montorro. Due to a glitch, sections of these maps will change and merge without warning, keeping you on your toes until the end.

When you go into battle, you will have a variety of weapons from different eras at your disposal. From military-grade knives that can be used in tight spaces, to prehistoric bows and arrows or modern automatic weapons, each offers its own benefits and handling.

There are plenty of items scattered around the map that can give you a timely advantage on the battlefield, such as replenishing your ammo supply or restoring some health points.

However, players who venture into the heart of the Glitch will be rewarded with items far more powerful than what they can find there. They can double your damage, provide you with infinite ammo, restore or increase your health points, speed up your movement speed, or allow you to steal health from an enemy target. Purchasing one of these can turn the tide in your favor.

Istera It was first playable during the Steam Next Fest in October 2023. The game will be released on Steam Early Access in 2024, and you can now add it to your Steam wishlist here.
