French Grand Prix MotoGP 2024 starting grid: rows and positions

The classification of the 2024 French MotoGP Grand Prix left no one indifferent. After a first quarter in which Marc Márquez dropped out of the positions that gave access to the second quarter, it was Jorge Martin who set the fastest time and therefore pole position with 1:29.919ahead of Pecco Bagnaia and Maverick Viñales in his Aprilia.

However, strangely, both Martin and Pecco crashed before the stopwatch reached zero, but neither rider was able to improve on their time in the final green-flag seconds.

This was the MotoGP 2024 classification in France:

Starting grid for the 2024 French MotoGP Grand Prix.

In the second row, the two VR46s, together with Aleix Espargaro, earned a place for the two Le Mans races from a good starting position, while the third row was in contention with Pedro Acosta, Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli.

Marc Marquez, who failed to make it out of Q1, will start 13th from the fifth row of the grid, so he will have to return if he is to score good points in a weekend that has so far been more negative than positive.
