Sheeran has also reportedly finished a collaborative album with reggaeton star J. Balvin, and collaborations with Daddy Yankee, Burna Boy, Pharrell and Shakira. Beyond that, prolific collaborator Sheeran has written with everyone, from EDM giant David Guetta to the now-defunct bro-country duo Florida Georgia Line. He has also been working with British rapper Devlin, producer Benny Blanco and their friend Justin Bieber for their new album. Sheeran will release his new single, “Eyes Closed”, on Friday (March 24), which Rolling Stone describes as built “around a pizzicato riff that grows into an octave chorus as big as anything in Sheeran’s catalog”.

About his docuseries

The artist will open the curtain on his path to stardom, his personal life and his musical inspiration in the upcoming Disney+ docuseries ‘Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All’. The four-part series, which will premiere worldwide on May 3, tells the story of “how a stuttering boy rose to fame to become one of the biggest superstars in world music and how his hits were born”.

The Disney+ original series will feature exclusive content from Sheeran’s personal archive, interviews with loved ones and intimate performances. “I have always been very reserved in my personal and private life; the only documentary I have made has been one focused on the composition of my songs”Sheeran said in a press release. “Disney approached me about doing a four-part documentary, and I felt that it was the right time to open the door and let people in. I hope people enjoy it.”
