Game review Pacers – Knicks 111-106 (May 10, 2024)
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Andrew Nembhard broke the tie with a 3-pointer with 16 seconds left and the Indiana Pacers came back in the fourth quarter to win 111-106 over the depleted New York Knicks on Friday in Game 3 of the East. Conference semi-final.
Tyrese Haliburton scored 35 points for the Pacers, who pulled to within 2-1 of the series.
Game four is scheduled for Sunday in Indianapolis. New York led by nine points with 9:45 left and was in position to take a 3–0 lead that would have left it one point out of the conference finals.
But Jalen Brunson was slowed by a leg injury and the Knicks were unable to maintain their lead.
Nembhard scored just five points – all in the final minute – while Haliburton finished with a playoff record for the second game in a row. Pascal Siakam added 26 points and seven rebounds, and Myles Turner finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Donge DiVincenzo led the Knicks with 35 points, hitting 7 of 11 3-pointers. Brunson added 26 points and six rebounds, including a 3-pointer that tied the game with 42 seconds left.
But he barely touched the rim on another 3-point attempt 13 seconds before the buzzer.
