GEPAC calls for prostate cancer prevention with its new Don’t Miss That Check campaign

Within World Prostate Cancer Dayto him Spanish Group of Patients on Cancer (GEPAC), through its prostate cancer arm in Spain, has launched the “Don’t miss this control” campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of prevention and health screenings for the early detection of prostate cancer, using an analogy to routine checks carried out by the police.

As part of this campaign GEPAC organized an awareness and information day for the Madrid Municipal Police., which took place today in the assembly hall of the municipal police. The event, which was also livestreamed and recorded for future viewing, emphasized the importance of regular screenings and paying attention to warning signs.

In addition to the in-person event, GEPAC has prepared four free online seminars for patients, families and the general public.

    On June 28, GEPAC will also organize an information day at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA). This day will be aimed at cancer patients, their families and friends, addressing both the medical and emotional aspects of the disease, and emphasizing the crucial role of patient associations.
