Giancarlo Esposito could enter the DC universe

From Gus Fring from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul to Moff Gideon from The Mandalorian, through The Boys (and even the video game Far Cry 6). In short, it is impossible to deny it: Giancarlo Esposito has masterfully portrayed some of the most interesting villains of recent years, and now could make its debut in the DC universe.

This was revealed by the actor himself, who announced that he is in talks with James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios.

Giancarlo Esposito in the DC Universe? this is what we know

It all started with a Twitter user (or maybe we should call him X?), Mind Doom, who shared a video showing Giancarlo Esposito during Comic Con Panama. In the clip, the actor says:

“I spoke with James Gunn about the possibility of participating in a movie (of DC, ndr). So who knows, it could happen soon.”

The Italian-born actor is actually not entirely unfamiliar with DC productions. In fact, Esposito has lent his voice to some of the studio’s animated films. Some examples? The actor voiced Ra’s al Ghul in Son of Batman, Black Spider in Batman: Assault on Arkham, and even Lex Luthor in eight episodes of the animated series Harley Quinn.
