Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has dropped a major hint that the pop band are set to reunite in just a few days.
The 38-year-old took to Instagram to share a cryptic graphic of a cinema drive-thru with 4 on the screen.
In her caption, she added a number and the words ‘For You’.
Her fans went wild with excitement as they rushed to the comments, with one writing: “OMFG they’re coming!!!”
Another said: “This is the most exciting thing the world has seen in the last few years.”
A third wrote: “Looks promising, can’t wait to see what’s going to happen,” and a fourth said: “It’s finally happening!!! They’re coming!!”
Nicola is believed to have teamed up with Nadine Coyle, Kimberly Walsh and Cheryl to record a new song and accompanying music video, which sees her dressed as Wonder Woman.
They are said to be reuniting in honor of their late bandmate, Sarah Harding, who tragically died of cancer in September 2021.
A music source told The Sun: “It’s been one of the best-kept secrets in pop, but it’s actually happening now.
“When Sarah died the girls really came back together as friends, and they repaired some old rifts and put things into perspective. Suddenly the reunion that had seemed completely impossible for so long now felt like a completely natural thing – out of respect for Sarah.
The same insider said: “They’ve got a single and a video in the can, plans for a full record of new music, and the most exciting thing for fans will be a huge reunion tour in 2024.”
The source explained that, although the reunion will be bittersweet as the band will continue as a foursome, the girls are “very excited” to get back together.
Ok! You have contacted a representative for Girls Aloud for comment.
The band formed in 2002 and became one of the UK’s most popular girl bands, until they officially went their separate ways in 2013 after a hiatus.
Arguably the most successful member of the group following their split, Cheryl became a judge on The X Factor, and was dubbed a “national treasure” by many of her fans.
Geordie Star released four solo albums and topped the UK charts five times with hits including Fight for This Love, Call My Name and Promise This.
However, last year it was rumored that Cheryl’s solo career was in limbo after her recent single Let You only reached number 57 on the charts.
