Google has released the latest ad in its #BestPhonesForever series, titled “The Big Game.”
These ads use stop-motion animation to show the friendship between iPhone and Pixel phones. Google is highlighting the capabilities of its Pixel phones and criticizing the iPhone, but in a rather cute way.
During halftime of the match between iPhone and Pixels, the iPhone coach tries to motivate his team. “I know you feel like things are changing, but this game isn’t over yet.”.
Says one of the iPhone team players: “But coach, the other team keeps getting new AI capabilities.” Another player mentions that another team has a “Search Circle” feature that allows Pixel users to circle something in a photo and get search results for that item.
Another player emphasizes this feature Video enlargement The Pixel 8 Pro sends video to Google for enhanced AI processing. The rest of the players are devastated by these AI features.
“We are doomed”, says the iPhone. But Coach iPhone doesn’t want to hear about it. To inspiring music, the trainer says: “Enough! Of course, Team Pixel has received advanced artificial intelligence to correct group photos, summarize recordings and reduce noise in videos. But it doesn’t matter what’s inside. “It’s what’s outside that matters.”
The trainer emphasizes that the iPhone Pro models are lighter, have contoured edges and “charging port of a different shape”. He then continues: “You don’t need complex artificial intelligence to edit photos and filter spam calls. LET’S FOCUS! This is our moment. Let’s go back there. And make sure they always remember the night they played against the team that dared to turn the switch into an action button.
The ad ends with the iPhone telling the Pixel: “Um, I lost my tactical leadership. Can I use yours? This could mean that the iPhone has lost its way and that the Pixel, using its AI features, knows where it is going in the phone market.
