With a new filter that activates below the main search bar, users can quickly find available charging stations in their area. To access this feature, you must configure your vehicle as electric in the app. This setting can be easily done in the “Your Vehicle” section of Google Maps settings.
This new functionality continues Google’s AI-powered improvements was announced in April to improve access to electric vehicle charging points. Artificial intelligence helps optimize searches and provides information about charging station availability in real time, allowing drivers to find the nearest and most convenient station.
