Guess what this new product from Polestar is: electric and only for China?
We already knew about Polestar bikes, a logical complement to the mobility of their cars, but The latest thing he unveiled during Polestar Brand Night in China has nothing to do with mobility.
Latest generation smartphone.
This is a sophisticated high-end smartphone, the Polestar Phone, following in the footsteps of another Chinese brand NIO, which launched its first phone of this type last year. Over the past few years, we’ve seen phones from many brands, from Lamborghini to Jeep, always based on models that were already on the market, as is the case with Polestar.
Actually it’s about Meizu 21 Pro, a high-end smartphone unveiled in February and now given a touch of Scandinavian design by Polestar. It is no coincidence that the brand’s first smartphone was Meizu, since both companies belong to the large Geely group, which also includes Volvo, Link & Co., an important stake in Smart and many other automotive and technology brands.
The Polestar phone only comes in the same white color as its cars, with some yellow details, such as the ring adorning one of the rear cameras. It has a 6.79-inch OLED display, 16GB RAM, 1TB internal storage, triple rear camera, 32MP selfie camera, 5050mAh battery and weighs 218 grams.
One of What speaks in favor of the Polestar phone is its perfect integration with the brand’s latest models, currently the Polestar 4, but updates will come later. The only way to buy a new Sino-Scandinavian phone is through Polestar or its app. The Meizu smartphone on which the Polestar is based is a high-end model that costs around 1,000 euros and, like the Polestar phone, is only sold in China.
