While it may currently be the height of New York Fashion Week, a trio of fashion it-girls were spotted around the world on Tuesday. Hailey Bieber (who made a brief appearance at NYFW), Anya Taylor-Joy, and Florence Pugh traveled to Tokyo, Japan to celebrate the opening of Tiffany & Co.’s new store — and not surprisingly, they wore some very Bring serious party attire with you. Ride.
Let’s start with Bieber, who stood out from the other two with his black outfit choice. The model’s cocktail-length number was designed in satin fabric and finished with fur detail at the hemline of the bodice.
The piece was simple because of its form-fitting shape, but was taken up a notch because of the scarf-like detail at the neck. It was a very classic look, à la Audrey Hepburn, which makes sense considering breakfast at Tiffany’s Organization. However, while Bieber chose an LBD for the event, Taylor-Joy and Pugh went in a more muted direction with their ensemble palette.
Taylor-Joy’s frock ended in a similar, slightly longer cut than Bieber’s. However, the actress’s image was definitely more sculpted, especially near the midsection. The strapless dress featured a flower-like, 3D detail that emphasized her waist. Taylor-Joy paired the piece with coordinating strappy heels, layers of Tiffany jewels, and a bold red lip for good measure.
With so many stars adopting risqué and almost naked looks, we were surprised to see that Bieber or Taylor-Joy didn’t adopt any of the trends. That is, until we reached Pugh, who, right on cue, pulled out a subtle skin-revealing outfit.
The 27-year-old actress was seen in a lace maxi dress which became sheer towards the bottom. Above, the deep neckline and spaghetti straps of the piece showed off her shiny silver choker and pendant necklace. As the dress reached past her waist, it then transitioned into large scalloped details that created a semi-sheer effect. Although Pugh has worn risky see-through looks in the past (and most recently another lace version last week), her look still brought the party. Especially with last night’s Big Apple meeting between Taylor Swift and company, we’re glad there’s another fashion girl convention happening across continents.
