The difference between both percentages, the Minister of Health analyzes, is that “vaccination was carried out in 29 schools as part of a pilot test and did not cover the entire population.” Although he hopes results will improve after the first two weeks of vaccinating younger populations. In total, more than 115 thousand people have been vaccinated.
In this sense, the president of the medical association, Javier García Tirado, calls on all people to receive doses “as a preventative measure minimize the impact of disease“. First of all, at a time when the flu is at its peak and the death rate from which is estimated at 6,000 people every year.
