Henry Urrutia EXPRESSED desire to face Cuba – SwingCompleto

Although the V World Baseball Classic has captured all the spotlights in this year 2023, The Caribbean Series is another renowned show and one of the Cuban baseball players who hosts this show will be from Las Tunas Henry Urrutia.

The Cuban first baseman and outfielder made clear on his Facebook profile his desire to participate in this event, but he also stated that he wants to face the Cuban team and especially his compatriots. “I don’t know if I’m more excited to go to the Caribbean Series or to see my brothers from Las Tunas and that Caballo de Martí”.

The Cuban baseball player was batting champion of the LIDOM (Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic) with an average of .318 and will be one of the reinforcements of the Tigres de Licey for this edition of the Caribbean Series.

Licey is one of the main contenders to win this tournament, largely due to having a baseball player as complete as Urrutia who has always had good performance in this event (.435 historical average). But Urrutia is focused on enjoying the experience and reuniting with his old teammates and with his country’s team.
