The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenskyissued his last message of the year this Saturday, in which he lamented the events that have occurred in recent months in the country as a result of the offensive launched by Russia and assured that “no one in the world will forgive” this “terror”.

“The terrorist state will not be forgiven. And who have ordered these attacks and those who have perpetrated them will not receive forgiveness”, he pronounced in the message. He also emphasized the inhumane nature of these attacks and stressed that it is about “missiles against people”.

Although they “call themselves Christians,” they are “following the Devil”, added the president since, in his opinion, the conflict derives solely from “a person trying to stay in power until the end of his life”in reference to Vladimir putin.

That is why he appealed directly to the Russian population and told them: “Your leader wants to show that the troops support him but he is only hiding behind them. He hides and burns his country and his future.

(Do you want faith, hope? Both have been in the military for a long time. Do you want light? It is in each one of us. Today is just a wish. It will come true not by a miracle, but by our work. Struggle. Mutual help. Humanity. Happy New Year! year of our victory)

Hours earlier, the Kremlin leader had once again challenged the West by assuring that “moral justice” is on your side. “Today we are fighting for it, protecting our people on our own historical territories, in the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” he said.

On the other hand, Zelensky regretted that Russia does not understand parties after the recent bombings in various regions of Ukraine, which left at least one dead in kyiv and several injured, while the population was preparing to receive the new year.

These attacks are part of the strategy that Russia implemented a few months ago, through which it seeks weaken the population and so ccompensate for their abysmal losses on the battlefield. Thus, almost daily and massively, Moscow bombards various cities in Ukraine with Iranian drones and cruise missiles, focusing on residential buildings and strategic facilities.

In this way, it has managed to destroy the energy system, which is why millions of people have been exposed to the low temperatures of the harsh winter.

However, Zelensky remains positive for this 2023 and announced this Friday that its air defense will be “the strongest” and “effective”, even “the most powerful in Europe”.
