Experts from the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) trained doctors at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital of Moi University in Kenya, Africa for specialized surgical training in liver cancer.

After learning of INEN’s work, Kenyan hospitals began efforts to contact the institution, which succeeded in the first meeting with doctors from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital at INEN in 2022; And later, developed in Kenya, it involves holistic training with multiple liver surgeries in an approach tailored to the reality of the African country.
In this regard, Ruiz Figueroa, who is currently developing specialized training in Kenya, highlighted the commitment and enthusiasm of the doctors of said institution in learning new surgical techniques that will lead to better management of large neoplasms and patients affected by this disease.
