The relationship is such that Carson, 50, appeared disappointed by Blake’s absence from The Voice when the show returned for its 24th season.

goodbye blake

Blake, 47, revealed in October 2022 that season 23 of The Voice would be his last.

“I’ve been struggling with this for some time and have decided it’s time to step away from The Voice after next season,” he wrote on Instagram.

“This show has changed my life for the better in every way and it will always feel like home to me.”

He concluded: “The journey of these 12 years has been very difficult and I want to thank everyone at NBC’s The Voice, every producer, writer, musician, crew and catering people, You are the best.”

It appeared that Carson was “handling” Blake’s departure as best he could when the show aired reruns over the summer.

The Voice host posted a selfie to Instagram that showed him in full makeup chair meltdown moments before the season 24 premiere.

Carson captioned the post: “My first day shooting @nbcthevoice without @blakeshelton. We’ve had the ritual of putting hair and makeup together for 23 seasons.

“I think I’m handling it well. Everything is fine.”

In the comments section, one fan wrote: “I will miss Blake so much. He entertained us all.”

Another commented: “Sad for us all!”

feeling bromantic

Ahead of Blake’s final season on the show, NBC shared several videos commemorating the relationship between Carson and the country music star.

A video, titled: “That time Shelton teased Daly about his sideline moves,” showed Blake, 44, and former coach Adam Levine mocking Carson’s backstage antics.

Blake compared the morning show host’s enthusiastic nature to Seattle Seahawks football coach Pete Carroll “running up and down the sideline.”

He also joked that he thought Total Request Live, the MTV music video countdown show that Carson famously hosted in the late ’90s and early ’00s, was a phone service.

Another video shows Carson impromptuly choosing Blake’s Valentine’s Day Mad Libs among other songs written by The Voice castmates in a segment promoting the show.

After listening to Mad Libs, Carson told Blake: “Buddy, I love you. Happy Valentine’s Day to you.”

NBC also included videos of Carson, Blake, and their The Voice colleagues participating in games of their show Barmageddon, as well as the couple celebrating their 10th anniversary on the show.

the big day

Blake’s wife, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to confront Carson about the couple’s decision to officiate at their wedding.

The wedding took place in 2021 at Blake’s Oklahoma Ranch.

She admitted: “Originally, we didn’t know who was going to marry us – it was Covid.”

Gwen continued: “We knew we wanted it to be intimate… and I thought of Carson because he’s someone we both know very well, and we’ve known for years. “

The Grammy Award-winning singer praised the competition host, saying: “He’s an amazing guy, I love him.

“He’s a very good father, a family man.”

Gwen confessed: “I just wanted it to be serious, and I wanted there to be someone who was in our spiritual circle, who was going to be there.”

The Hollaback Girl singer also revealed she was “nervous to ask him out,” before adding: “It’s a really big thing to ask someone out.”

“(Blake and I) called him and immediately he was like, ‘Let’s go!’ He was just so into it,” she added.

Gwen concluded: “So that was a big relief, they took it very seriously.

“It was really beautiful, perfect and amazing.”

back together

In October, Blake shared big news in his career when he revealed he was starring in another show after leaving his role on The Voice.

Blake posted on Instagram about his upcoming TV appearance.

A video teaser shows information about the USA Network TV show Barmageddon, where contestants compete in five games.

The former Nashville star judge produced the first season and has announced he will return again in November for the next season.

A video teaser featured special guests on the show including his wife Gwen, actor Michelle Rodriguez, and his former The Voice colleague Kelly Clarkson.

Carson and Nikki Garcia were both revealed to be hosting Wild Games alongside Blake.

The video features contestants playing wild games such as life-size table soccer and riding toy horses.

Blake said the show would return on November 13.

The announcement came after he stepped down from his role as a judge on The Voice and Gwen rejoined the cast in his absence.

During each episode of Barmageddon, two celebrities compete in pub games for a cash prize.

The official Barmageddon Instagram account posted the news: “The Happiest Hour returns to @usanetwork on November 13th! #Barmageddon.”

The announcement was accompanied by a photo of hosts Carson, Blake, and Nikki, each holding a glass of beer.

In neon text above the stars, the poster read: “The happiest times are back!”

Carson took to the comments section to show everyone how excited he is for the new season.

He wrote: “LFG (Let’s F**king Go!)”, clearly hinting that he’s ready to start work on the show and, more importantly, that he’s back with his friend Blake Ready to return to work.
