Aktu: Who is Le Philip?

Le Philip: This is a compulsive transvestite, a pathological woman, a contradiction in claws, a multifaceted character… Même si le package reste une femme républicaine, conservative, glamorous and chic. She was at a fun evening and lit up a girl. In fact, Le Philip is a woman with rights who remembers gay parties.

What inspires you?

Le Philip: All women who can meet certain men! Pamela Anderson was inspired by the first vision of heightened femininity, alliant à la fois une grande popularité et une énorme fragility. In my lectures I can feel the intelligence and strength. For me, it represents a double vision of a woman: an imposed image and a real image.
I’m Australian Anne Rumanoff, Elie Semun, Florence Foresti or Jacques Tati for an encore… Artists who influenced me and who were not jealous of what I love today. The grace of humor, I can also survive life and all these adversities.

What do you do in competitions?

Le Philip: Humor and beauty. Les gens sont simple, ils aiment ce qui est beau (laughs).

Paloma is her son on stage, Keyona is a Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Grande Dame is the representative of France in Great Britain against the whole world, Lolita Banana is the host of Drag Race in Bresil… Quel serait votre reve le plus fou après Drag Race ?

Le Philip: My man takes care of the prize release ceremonies, about Cesar, about Moliere, about Oscar… The leading initiator of the event must be laid to rest. And I’m sure my heart is full plus my marriage. C’est un peu mon objectif aussi, lui gâcher son maquillage (rires).

Pour revenir sur votre parcours… When did you start dredging? Et qu’est-ce qui vous brait dedans?

Le Philip: I started il ya douze ans et j’en vis depuis cinq ans. I discovered the existence of drag through films, a blessing for me that is the truest cinephile.
What I said is what happens on stage, I feel complete completion. It’s fun and funny. Et puis… je ne sais rien faire d’autre, partly kitchen. And you will be a terrible cook!

Vous êtes Croate. What are you doing to represent these countries? Is there additional pressure?

Le Philip: Not du tout! Drag is one of those strange legs and after announcing my participation I read Plein de messages de la Croatie. I met Croatians in France, but they were in awe of us! C’est comme si je retrouvais de vieux amis perdus, this is fou.
