Israel bombed Beirut again

Beirut (EFE).- After a few days of calm and warnings of an imminent attack by its army, Israel launched a new bombardment this Wednesday against the Haret Harik area, south of Beirut.

The Lebanese National News Agency confirmed the attack, but without providing details.

Just an hour earlier, around 6:00 local time (3:00 GMT), the Israeli military’s Arabic spokesman, Avichay Adria, had warned in X that action against Haret Hareik was imminent and urged residents to evacuate the area. In which he said that the Lebanese Shia militia Hezbollah works.

Third attack on Beirut in a week

Israeli forces also struck on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital on Saturday, bombing the town of Maysrah in the Ksrwan district, about 38 kilometers north of the capital, killing about twenty people.

At least 22 people were killed and 117 others injured in two Israeli bombings against buildings in central Beirut last Thursday, according to Lebanon’s public health ministry.
