Israel: Israeli forces tie wounded Palestinian to the hood of military vehicle in West Bank

The Israeli military said on Saturday that its forces violated protocol after tying an injured Palestinian to the hood of a military vehicle during a raid in Jenin, a city in the northern West Bank.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the incident after a video capturing the moment was shared on social media.
According to an IDF statement, the man was wounded in a shootout during the raid.
The Palestinian’s relatives said that while they called an ambulance, the army held him down before tying him to the hood of their jeep and starting the vehicle.
The man was taken to the Red Crescent where he received medical assistance.
The IDF assured that the incident would be investigated.
Eyewitnesses of the incident gave this information to the news agency Reuters The man was a local and was identified as mujahid azmi,
“This morning (Saturday), during a counter-terrorism operation to arrest wanted suspects (by the Israeli army) in the Wadi Burqin area, terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers, who retaliated,” an IDF statement said.
“During a firefight, one suspect injured And he was arrested.”
The text continues, “In violation of orders and specific operating procedures, forces took the suspect while he was tied up on top of a vehicle.”
The IDF stated that: “The conduct of the forces in the video of the incident is not in keeping with the IDF’s values. The incident will be investigated and dealt with accordingly.”
Violence in the West Bank has increased since the war in the Gaza Strip began.
At least the United Nations assures that 480 Palestinians – members of armed groups, attackers and civilians – have been killed In conflict-related incidents in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, ten Israelis, including six members of the security forces, have also been killed.
