Israeli army members disguised as doctors and patients attack a hospital in the West Bank

An AFP journalist saw the bodies of three people, their families mourning, inside Avicenna hospital in Jenin, a stronghold of Palestinian armed groups. A stretcher, on which a pillow pierced by a bullet was stained with blood, left little doubt as to the nature of the operation.

Further, there were traces of blood on a mattress, some of which was scattered on the floor and walls.

In a joint statement, the Israeli military, internal security and police said that together they had “neutralized” Hamas terrorist Mohammed Jalamnah, as well as “two other terrorists,” Bassel and Ayman Ghazawi.

Hamas confirmed Jalamna’s affiliation. And Islamic Jihad, another Palestinian Islamic movement, claimed the affiliation of the two Ghazzavi brothers. The funeral rites of the latter two were held in the late morning.

“A group of members of the occupation forces dressed in civilian clothes entered with weapons fitted with silencers and killed three people,” Dr. Naji Nazzal, the facility’s medical director, told AFP.

“The operation took place in the rehabilitation department on the third floor, where Bassel Ghazzawi had been receiving treatment since October 25,” the doctor said, adding that the man “can no longer walk at all.”
