Israel’s Chief of Staff visits Nablus after attack that killed two soldiers
NABLUS, May 30 (EFE).- The army confirmed that two Israeli soldiers died this morning as a result of serious injuries sustained in a Palestinian attack last night in the Nablus region, north of the occupied West Bank. The Israeli army reported that the soldiers are Sergeants Elia Hillel and Diego Shwisha Harsaj, both 20 years old and infantrymen from the Nahshon battalion of the Kfir brigade. The Chief of the General Staff, Herzi Halevi, visited the site of the accident last night, where the two soldiers died, to conduct a “preliminary investigation and assessment of the situation”; and this morning it was Major General Yehuda Fox, commander of the Central Command, who analyzed the situation with the soldiers deployed in the area.
