Ivace+i requests an increase of 18.4 million to increase assistance to electric vehicles and charging stations
VALENCIA (EP). The Valencian Institute of Competitiveness and Innovation (Ivace+i), dependent on the Department of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, requested a budget increase of 18.4 million euros for the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging points. as part of the Moves III plan.
Currently, the Ivace+i Energy budget for the purchase of electric vehicles is 55.6 million euros, and for charging stations – 33 million euros, the Generalitat said in a statement.
In this sense, the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism Nuria Montesstressed that this is the third budget increase requested by the Community and with it “Ivace+i wants to guarantee the opportunity to respond to all requests received before the end of the deadline, which, after its extension, is scheduled for July 31st. 2024.”
The main goal, Montes noted, is to encourage the purchase of vehicles “that use alternative forms of energy compared to traditional ones, especially electric ones, to reduce emissions of polluting gases and improve air quality, while providing an important incentive for the sector.”
In this regard, the adviser emphasized the need for “active policies in favor of sustainable mobility”, since the transport sector is the largest consumer of energy and the transition to electric mobility “is critical to achieving decarbonization of the economy.”
More than 10,000 vehicles supported.
Under the Moves III program, Ivace Energía provides financial assistance of €7,000 to individuals, self-employed workers and organizations purchasing electric vehicles, and €5,000 for plug-in hybrids.
In this regard, the head of innovation praised the “tremendous reception” that the program is having in the Community and highlighted the “good management of Ivace+i, which has already made it possible to provide incentives to support the purchase.” more than 10,100 vehicles and almost 3,000 charging stations.”
Of the requested amount, it is planned to allocate 14.23 million euros to strengthen assistance for the purchase of electric vehicles and 4.21 million euros will be allocated to support applications for the installation of electric vehicle charging points.
These incentives, financed by the European Union Next Generation funds managed by Ivace+i in the Valencian Community, subsidize the direct acquisition or financing of operations through financial leasing or rental leasing (also called operating leasing) of new vehicles using alternative energy sources. .
To receive assistance, you must contact one of the participating dealers or outlets who will process the assistance electronically.
Amounts vary depending on the type of vehicle, the applicant (self-employed individuals, legal entities, SMEs or large companies) and whether the old vehicle is being scrapped. For individuals, if they do not recycle the car, assistance for the purchase of a clean electric vehicle will amount to up to 4,500 euros and 2,500 euros for plug-in vehicles.
In the case of electric motorcycles, the benefit can reach 1,300 euros with recycling and 1,100 euros without sending the vehicle for scrap.
The price of an electric vehicle cannot exceed 45,000 euros, with the exception of eight- or nine-seater electric vehicles, which can cost up to 53,000 euros. In the case of electric motorcycles, their price cannot exceed 10,000 euros.
Likewise, the purchase of electric vans by self-employed professionals will be subsidized by up to €9,000 if the user scraps their old vehicle, and up to €7,000 if they do not.
The Moves III program provides an additional 10% assistance to shares in municipalities with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants, both for the installation of charging infrastructure in these territories and for the purchase of vehicles by people who are registered in them. It also provides an additional 10% to the assistance received by people with limited mobility.
Help at charging points
Ivace+i Energía also subsidizes the implementation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure through direct purchase, including for owner communities a pre-electric charging installation.
Thus, until July 31, 2024, you can request assistance in installing a charging point of any power for private use in the residential sector, including private homes, for public use in the non-residential sector (public parking). plots, hotels, shopping centers, universities, hospitals, industrial complexes, sports centers, etc.).
Those intended for private use are maintained both in the parking lots of private and public companies to service their own fleet, and in the parking lots of private and public companies to serve their employees and clients.
Charging stations for public use on public roads, urban and interurban roads and on the highway network are similarly subsidized, with charging infrastructure at service stations and petrol stations being of particular interest.
In the case of owner communities, the necessary pipes for the pre-installation of electrical equipment and communication services to provide smart charging for connected charging of electric vehicles are subsidized.
One of the barriers to the electrification of transport is the insufficient charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and therefore it is necessary to create an incentive program that allows the deployment of this infrastructure throughout our territory.
