Jennifer Lopez recently danced the night away at a nightclub in Capri, Italy, where she entertained guests with a surprise performance of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”
Popular club Taverna Enema e Cor shared a video on Instagram on Saturday of JLo singing the disco theme song karaoke-style as patrons and staff members cheered and clapped.
In the clip, the “Jenny From The Block” artist can be seen singing into a microphone from her table before getting up and performing a full show with the help of the club’s live band. After a soulful rendition of “I Will Survive”, Lopez began with her 1999 hit, “Let’s Get Loud”.
It’s not the first time that a major musician has entertained patrons with a spontaneous performance at Taverna Enema e Cor, known for its live music and celebrity clientele. It’s also not the first time that Lopez sings there during her vacation in Capri.
On its website, the nightclub lists a number of celebrity vacationers, from Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Leonardo DiCaprio and LeBron James, who have partyed there in the past. All it takes is a quick scroll through the establishment’s Instagram grid to find photos and videos of Lopez, Justin Skye, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Foxx, Vanessa Hudgens, Katy Perry, and other artists performing there.
“One of my favorite songs”, one person responded In a video singing “I Will Survive” on Lopez’s ex. “I love it!!!”
“My God, The Voice” someone else wrote, “Mama doesn’t play anymore. Bring it mother.
“I love it”, repeated by a third person, “Now I imagine JLo singing that song in her Bronx home when she was 10 years old.”
