Jessica Chastain’s fluorescent purple dress with 3D neckline
We can always count on Jessica Chastain to deliver a memorable moment on the red carpet, and she certainly delivered a performance at the 2024 National Board of Review Annual Gala.
At the event, Chastain presented director Justine Trieu with the Best International Film award for the courtroom drama. Anatomy of a fall. But even before the Oscar-winning actress took the stage, she turned heads with her red carpet appearance in a stunning fluorescent Vivienne Westwood gown.
The shimmering strapless dress was made from a rich purple fabric that stood out wherever Chastain went, and the top of the dress featured a sharp scoop neckline that jutted out slightly and added a touch of 3D drama to the design. The bodice was folded inward to form a corset, and the skirt was completely straight and had a small scalloped train.
For accessories, the Oscar winner opted for a simple multicolored tennis necklace by Suzanne Kalan. She also kept her beauty look going, opting for blush lipstick and pale pink nails (which allowed the focus to be on her dress).
It was the first red carpet appearance of the season for Chastain, who did not attend the Golden Globes or the Governors Awards earlier this week. However, the California native did win an Emmy for her role as Tammy Wynette in last year’s Showtime musical biopic miniseries. George and Tammyso we can probably expect another glamorous look from her at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards this Monday, January 15th.
