President Joe Biden appeared to be confused by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift during the annual White House turkey pardon on Monday (November 20).
The annual event sees the U.S. President plucking a turkey or turkeys from the dinner table ahead of the nation’s Thanksgiving celebration.
“Now, to get here, Liberty and Bell have to beat some tough obstacles, a competition,” Biden, 81, said of this year’s turkey.
He said, “They had to work hard to show patience and be prepared to travel over a thousand miles.”
“You could even say it’s harder than getting tickets for the Renaissance tour, or, harder than getting tickets for the Brittany tour – it’s so hot in Brazil at the moment.”
However, Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour was completed in October; While Taylor Swift is the artist whose sold-out Eraz Tour has reached Brazil.
The “Anti-Hero” singer’s second and third shows in the country’s capital were postponed over the weekend due to the heat wave. A 23-year-old fan named Ana Clara Benevides died after attending Swift’s Friday (November 17) show, which has been linked to extreme temperatures inside the venue.
