Kaitlyn Dever will officially play Abby in The Last of Us season 2

Kaitlyn Dever (ur.Book Shop) was a fan favorite choice for the role of Ellie. Last of us, but she eventually grew old and the role went to Bella Ramsey. Oddly enough, although Dever didn’t find Ellie, she did get someone who became her enemy on the show.

So what’s the MaxDever has officially been cast in the second season of the series. Last of us as Abby Anderson. Here’s the message:

We don’t know how much of Abby’s story will be explored in season two, but I have a feeling the show might just follow Abby’s story after the events of Joel’s hospital massacre and the buildup to her going to Jackson.

I honestly don’t want to spoil anything about the character on the show, but anyone who was online when the game came out knows that Abby was pretty much the target of online vitriol, not unlike what Kelly Marie Tran received after release. from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Fans are already hoping that Dever won’t receive the same backlash once she lands the role, but I think the show will take a different approach when it comes to Abby’s story, and we could very well continue on her side by then. when she crosses Ellie’s path in the series.

The release date for the second season of the series has not been set. Last of us, but we can probably expect it sometime in early 2025.
