Katy Perry says she’s stuck with her crew “for life” after her final Vegas residency show last week.
The American singer began her concert residency titled Play at Resorts World Las Vegas on December 29, 2021.
In an Instagram video from Saturday, captioned “The journey is over” by Perry, she was seen clapping for the staff and wearing a white and pink dress.
Perry said: “My last question is for you. Did you get what you came for? Did you get what you came for? Are you a better person? After these two years, have you evolved? Are you grateful?
“You lived, you learned, you loved, we formed a bond, we have a bond. This bond.. is for a lifetime and I’m so glad I got to see you, get to know you but for now, it’s amazing.
“And I’m just wishing you all the best on your journey, wherever life takes you.
“Don’t forget the child inside you and the game, don’t forget to play, don’t forget that life is okay, don’t forget happiness in between all the other (things).
“We are going to be the light bearers, thank you very much for waking us up today.
“We are very grateful, please protect us for the last time and give us energy so that we become like a wing.
“Now we take it all in and we thank you for this show.”
The video also includes messages from the dancers and production assistants who helped create the series of shows.
Perry became emotional during the set of her hit song Firework and told her fans at the event: “Thank you for taking me on this journey. I created this show after the birth of my daughter Daisy Dove.
“When I met her it felt like I finally found the love I was looking for.
“She made me whole and she healed me and she taught me how to play, so this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we all lived life through a child’s eyes If we can, we will be free.”
American singer Perry and Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom have three-year-old daughter Daisy.
Her last Vegas residency event was reportedly attended by singer Celine Dion as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and actress Cameron Diaz.
