Lidl employee reveals what time to go to get the cheapest groceries

Tik Tok user Chris Serna (@zitowellness)in charge of one of Lidl’s stores, uploaded a video to his social media account showing the best time to buy the cheapest products in his supermarkets.

In particular, the employee referred to orange sticker that is placed on perishable foodssuch as meat, fish or yoghurt, and which offer discounts of up to 50%.

“We offer discounts on meat, fresh fish and everything that is stored in the refrigerator: cheeses, yoghurts, sausages and so on. 30% off on items that expire the next day and 50% off on items that expire on the same day.” Chris explained.

“In our store, we either put up stickers before the supermarket opens, or we do it at night. In fact, there are many people who come first thing in the morning to pick up all the discounted items,” the employee admitted.

In addition, Chris noted that in the afternoon the store manager does what is called “freshness control”, that is, sticking stickers on 30 and 50% of everything in the chamber.

“And in theory it should be done starting at 7:00 p.m., so if you go around 7:30 p.m. everything should already be there.”– the worker said in the video, which has already received 180,000 views.

Finally, he also indicated that usually in all stores reserve a specific area of ​​the refrigerator where all products that are about to expire are stored.
