Loki and Wanda’s tragedies could set up a wilder MCU theory

Loki, wearing green robes and a black horned crown, is holding a raised hand, surrounded by green lightning.

Loki and Wanda are easily two of the most popular characters in the MCU, and both met extremely tragic endings. However, for the characters these blows can establish a new realm of power.

Warning: spoilers ahead bottle gourd Season 2 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Infinity Stones are now gone from the universe of our MCU heroes, having been used and destroyed in the battle against Thanos. In their wake, it’s interesting to see how some of our familiar faces are rising to unexpected levels of power – and all with colors that match the Stones.

As explained here, it can spawn up to six creatures to match the Infinity Stone powers.

Here’s a look at some contenders to step into the powers of the Infinity Stones.

loki becomes the time stone

Loki wears a new crown of horns, surrounded by the green threads of time.

First and foremost, there is Loki. Along with his signature green powers, this aligns him with the Time Stone. After his time in TVA and spending centuries learning everything he can about the physics and mechanisms of time, he is all set to become a living Time Stone.

He is the only person who can travel through time and space without a temp-pad, which was used very effectively during the Season 2 finale of his titular show. While he’s currently discovered in Yggdrasil, you’ll never know if Loki is ever actually gone from the MCU – after all, he’s ‘died’ three times before.

Wanda becomes the reality stone

Wanda talking to Doctor Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Since her entry into the MCU, Wanda Maximoff has long been associated with the color red. On the other hand, her powers, until her own titular show, have not been closely tied to any particular occasion, WandaVision. There, she begins to grapple badly with the issues of reality and causes the entire town to live in her imagination.

again, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda was seen to be able to bend and shape reality to her will. This clearly aligns him with the Red Reality Stone of protection, similar to Loki.

And, for all I know, the last time we saw her she was buried under a mountain’s worth of rock. But Elizabeth Olsen also thinks she can make a comeback.

Captain Marvel becomes the Mind Stone

From now on, the theory becomes a little less concrete. The next stone is the yellow mind stone. The only character with powers associated with the color yellow is Captain Marvel, who harnesses and absorbs the power of light. as mentioned MiracleCarol Danvers is currently investigating matters of the mind, using Skrull technology to retrieve her memories, so it can become a greater power for her, just as Loki becomes more adept with time travel. Has been.

Monica Rambeau became the Space Stone

Teyonah Parris as Captain Monica Rambeau in Marvel Studios

Another slightly more tenuous link is Monica Rambeau and her heavy association with color. While her exact shade of blue is very light – almost white – she has a personal connection with space, being a dark blue Infinity Stone. As an astronaut and astrophysicist, she knows a lot about space and is now currently living in another universe – perhaps a place where she can take that interest and knowledge and use it as a living Infinity Stone. Can reach unknown levels of power.

Wong as Soul Stone/Sorcerer

In Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Wong (Benedict Wong) stands in front of a portal surrounded in glowing orange.

Now we’re moving even further into the realm of speculation, so stick with me here. The Soul Stone is the same shade of orange as the Sorcerer’s power, potentially inspiring Wong (as the Sorcerer Supreme) or another Sorcerer to become a living Soul Stone. In fact, it has been theorized that wizards’ magic is orange because it originates from their soul; With ease, one can travel deep into one’s soul to uncover some hidden magic.

Two contenders for the Power Stone

A blast of purple magic from the hands of Agatha Harkness in 'WandaVision'.

Potentially the first contender to become the Purple Power Stone is Agatha Harkness and her recognizable purple powers. She’s definitely power-hungry and has her own Disney+ show coming out. Both Loki and Wanda came into their powers during their titular shows; Could Agatha do the same?

Iman Vellani and Matt Lintz as Kamala Khan and Bruno Carelli in Ms. Marvel

Another possible option is Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, a relative newcomer to the MCU. We’ve already got two members of the Marvels on the list (Captain Marvel and Captain Rambeau), so it would be nice for a third to arrive.

The only issue is that there is no obvious connection between Kamala and Satta, except that they have something. Still, the Power Stone is probably one of the most ambiguous stones, with no clear thread of ability, so perhaps Kamala will actually make it her own.
